Management Development Programme

In this programme, Managers will learn the key capabilities, knowledge, and skills to ensure they are ready to take on the responsibilities and contribute effectively towards the growth and development of their company.

The focus will be on increasing the capacities of managers in a number of activities including supervising, organising, planning, leading, communicating, motivating, delegating, developing self, change, and finance.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate a Management Style which supports effective communication at all levels. 
  • Understand the impact of different styles of leadership, motivational theory and its impact on staff and its importance of good working relationships at all levels in the organisation.

Participants will receive handouts to enable recording of notes from the tasks completed and will have the opportunity to discuss and explore issues relating to the content and the ways in which they have encountered these issues in their work.

There will be the opportunity over the training to allow participants to experience “real” situations and scenarios to transfer the theory of the course into practice.

Module 8: The Impact of GDPR - Phase 2

  • A refresh of the EU GDPR legal requirements and their impacts
  • An overview of the legal concept of ACCOUNTABILITY
  • An assessment of the key actions which enables you to identify how GDPR impacts upon your business
  • An understanding of the roles of Data Controller, Data Processor, Data Protection Officer and The Supervisory Authority
  • An awareness of how GDPR Impacts on your vendor/supply chain
  • The ability to recognise and manage Data Subject Requests
  • The knowledge to identify a data breach from “an incident”. The reporting process of a data breach. How to create a data breach response plan.

This programme is aimed at Managers either managing on an individual basis, leading a team or transitioning into a role which will require them to lead at their best in today’s competitive business environment.  

The programme modules are designed to take the participant through the journey of understanding what a Managers role is, how it fits into an organisation, the purpose of their role and how a Managers role supported with the right tools and an understanding of how to gain the best from their staff impacts success.

This nine-day Management Development Programme provides a basis for new Managers to identify their role within an organisation and how it aligns with Corporate Values, Culture, and expectations.

The training, holistic in its approach combines theory with practice and provides an opportunity for participants in each module, to hear the benefits of implementing behaviours and process, see the benefits through demonstration of previous knowledge and apply them during a group exercise.

There will be evaluations through discussion at the end of each module and again at the end of the programme.  Participants will gain skills, strategies, and techniques to implement new process and manage behaviours. This programme focuses on providing participants with the know how to implement strategies that are effective and support Managers in their day to day role.

Learners Assessment

On completion of the course, students are required to complete an end of course learner’s assessment.
