Risk Management Training

Provides managers and relevant employees with the knowledge and skills to manage risk and carry out risk assessments in the workplace.

About Course

This course assists employers, and those responsible for risk assessment, in meeting their legal responsibilities under the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.

The course is particularly beneficial in that it allows learners to engage in a practical session where the risk assessment process can be examined in a manner that is relevant to the learner’s workplace situation and experiences. This provides participants with a renewed confidence when addressing health and safety issues in their own work environment.

The course is highly interactive and assists participants in identifying specific workplace hazards while providing an update on current legislation. A step by step approach is taken in examining the risk assessment process which equips learners with an increased level of awareness when assessing their own workplace. Suitable methods of controlling hazards are considered and discussed, including the hierarchy of control.

A practical hands-on session is also included where learners are given the opportunity to complete risk assessments applicable to their own premises and real-life situations.
